Catch Michfest Fever--Again!

We have completed the random selection process for festieship applicants!

February Festie Fever was an enormous success, thanks to all who participated. We received enough donations to buy AT LEAST TEN 6-DAY TICKETS TO THE 40TH MICHIGAN WOMYN'S MUSIC FESTIVAL!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

The pool for a "Festieship" is now closed, and the entire list of 27 applicants has been randomly ordered. Below are the first ten potential festieship recipients. If you applied but are not among the first ten names, you are on a waiting list.

  1. Beth Burnett, Lansing MI
  2. Jamie Fanning, Lansing MI
  3. Kateri Smith, Eagle MI
  4. Terri Dinsmore, Montrose MI
  5. Dawn Matti, Wixom MI
  6. Holly Scheuren, Evensville WI
  7. Lexie Phillips, Eagle MI
  8. CJ Thomason, Lansing MI
  9. Carmen McDaniel, Cadillac MI
  10. Jay Munch, Lansing MI

We will be contacting recipients starting May 18 to determine that you can indeed attend the 40th Michigan Womyn's Music Festival, how many days you can attend, and whether you need your ticket paid in full. You will have until May 30 to respond; if you fail to respond by the deadline, the festieship will be offered to the next womon on the list. If you are on the list but do not hear from us by May 20, please email us at michfestfever@gmail.comwith good contact information immediately.

If some recipients cannot attend for the full six day festival, or can make some contribution to the ticket cost, that will free up funds to subsidize the next applicant on the list. We will be contacting applicants if and as such funds become available. Stay tuned!

We are a home-grown, non-profit grant program, collecting donations to help womyn in the Greater Lansing, Michigan area to attend the Festival. We aim to purchase as many tickets to the 2015 Michigan Womyn's Music Festival as possible for womyn who could not otherwise afford to go. The number of womyn we help send to Michfest will be determined by the amount of money you help us raise. By making the Festival more economically accessible, we increase the number and diversity of womyn there. Your donation benefits both the Festival and the womyn who get to go! Last August we sent five grrrls to camp—let's see how many we can send this year, the 40th and last Michfest!

PLEASE FIND UP-TO-THE-MINUTE DETAILS POSTED ON OUR BLOG AND ON FACEBOOK!
